"Holly Stanford is doing the best she can with the restaurant she inherited from her late uncle. But after her fiancé abandons her and the business, Holly regrets having given up her dream of becoming a pastry chef. Now a few bad financial decisions might cost her everything, including her hope for the future. Jed Henning has done well with his new company despite his prodigal brother's behavior. When Jed's father, the controlling member of the board of directors, temporarily suspends operations until his sons work out their differences, Jed resentfully chases his brother, Chris, to Boise. There Jed rents a basement apartment from Holly and hopes to convince Chris to get his act together before their company collapses. Unaware that Holly is the one person who can help him get through to Chris, Jed starts the tough work of reconciliation armed with little more than a few family photographs, a stack of old letters, and a Bible that belonged to his great-grandfather, Andrew Henning. And as romance blossoms between Holly and Jed, the story of Jed's great-grandfather highlights the power of God across the generations and the legacy of a family's courageous faith."-- Provided by publisher.

Summary
How Sweet It Is
Lonely hearts find love and purpose in the final installment of Robin Lee Hatcher's Legacy of Faith series. Successful Seattle businessman Jed Henning launched Laffriot with the help of his brother Chris, a video game design genius. But Chris has left Laffriot--and Jed--in the lurch. Jed comes to Boise to locate his brother, hoping for Chris's return before the company collapses. Perhaps the time away will also give him time to discover answers within his own heart. On a whim, he goes to see the apartment where his great-great-grandparents lived as newlyweds in the late 1920s and discovers it's available for rent. The attractive landlady, Holly Stanford, happens to need a tenant--and Jed decides to move in. Holly has set aside her dream of owning a bakery specializing in wedding cakes while financially tied to Sweet Caroline's, a struggling restaurant once owned by her great uncle and aunt. Nursing a wounded heart after being left at the altar a year before, Holly still finds time to give back to the community, working with women in a local shelter, teaching them how to prepare healthy meals. What Jed never suspects is that Holly is the one person who might help him reach his brother . . . while at the same time helping him find the happiness and contentment he longs for.
